Zosimo Quibilan, Jr. won the Philippine National Book Award for Short Story and the 8th Madrigal-Gonzalez Best First Book Award for “Pagluwas” (Going to the City, University of the Philippines Press in 2006). He read at the 4th Annual Mixed Roots Literary and Film Festival in LA. His stories and poems have appeared in KCET, International Literary Quarterly, Kweli Journal, Asia Writes, Philippines Free Press, among others. He lives in South Pasadena, CA and occasionally gives talks on Filipino literature and language at the UCLA.

Irene Suico Soriano is an award-winning poet, independent literary/film and video curator and shelter animal rights advocate living in Downtown Los Angeles. Her poems have appeared in, among others, the Los Angeles Times, Disorient Journalzine, Philippines Free Press, Babaylan: An Anthology of Filipina and Filipina American Writers (Aunt Lute) and Short Fuse: The Global Anthology of New Fusion Poetry (Rattapallax Press). She is currently finishing revisions on a collection of poems and taking a Documentary Filmmaking class under Gabor Kalman at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
