I AM ALIVE IN LOS ANGELES!!

Districts…

Downtown Los Angeles holds districts within districts. The area is large enough to have several small neighborhoods but small enough to be a tight-knit community. Though the districts have some outlined boundaries, the districts of downtown are smaller sub-districts of the bigger downtown. For instance, the Old Bank District is completely within the Historic Core. The Broadway Theater District is within the Historic Core. Gallery Row is a block east of Broadway and also within the Historic Core adjacent to the Fashion District. The Civic Center area is just west of Little Tokyo, south of the Historic Core. The Fashion District is south of the Historic Core and east of South Park. The South Park district used to be a bunch of parking lots. Staples Center was built in 1999, now we have LA Live. The Arts District is on Downtown’s Eastside near the Los Angeles River across from Boyle Heights.
